Do I need to install anything, or any plugins?
No. informed.build runs entirely in the browser — in Chrome, Edge and Firefox. There is nothing to install, no plugins and no updates for you to look after.
Which formats are supported?
IFC 2x3 and IFC 4 for BIM models, LAS, LAZ and E57 for point clouds, BCF 2.1 for issues, GAEB and DIN 276 for costs, plus PDF, DWG, DXF, XLSX, DOCX and images in the file viewer. No proprietary formats.
Is informed.build free?
The Free plan is free forever and includes the full viewer with data table and classification. On top of that you can try all Team features free for 14 days — no credit card.
Where does my data live?
Local-first: your models are processed directly in the browser and stored on your device. Documents in the CDE are stored GDPR-compliantly in the Cloudflare cloud with capability-based access control and a complete audit trail.
